Jeff Cohen, aka Digital Papercuts, came by the space last week and we had lunch. After a nice meal at Neal's Deli Jeff shot some video. He used the amazing Flip HD camera. This gadget is really small but makes a nice 740p HD vid.

CCC now has a full fledged technology library. Thanks to the donations of a few people we have over sixty books on a ton of topics. Such as Linux, PHP, Mysql, Ruby, Javascript, Windows, Mac OSX, Java, Cooca, Objective C, etc., etc. We welcome more donations to this library. Just contact me if you'd like to share your books.

Its intended to be a resource for coworkers here at CCC. Many of these books are expensive and aren't always available in public Libraries. So come cowork with us and read the books while you're here. A complete list of available books will be available soon.

Tomorrow we begin new extended hours! The new hours are Thursday from 9 am until Midnight and Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm. We'll continue regular hours on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday 9 am until 6 pm..

So you night owls that need to get work done late try CCC. A change in your work environment will increase your productivity. Try it!

Same prices in the evenings and weekends as during the day. $10 for a day at a time or $100 a month (reoccurring) for any time we're open. This means on Thursdays your $10 goes even farther!

We have a bunch of free and public events on Thursday nights so there will be other folks here you may run into. Check out our calendar.

Come use the space Saturdays from 10 am till 4 pm. If you have a day job and haven't been able to join us now is your chance. Come work on the side project you love coding after work. Same deal as any other day.

This is a pilot project. I want to know what other hours of the week or times you need. So let me know if there is another day of the week you'd prefer. We'll ramp up to more hours soon. We're working on making the space available as often as possible.

Today I'd like to announce the Corporate Coworker package. Its $300 a month for four people. Basically its a Part Time Coworker for groups of people who all work at the same company. Plus this group can use Conference Room B for three hours a month at no extra charge.

So if you work at a office and have the ability to work away from it once in a while ask your boss to purchase one of these. You can share it with your colleagues and even use it together. Get a productivity boost by changing your atmosphere.

Here are a few points to help you pitch it to your company:

• If you live near CCC short commutes save gas and is better for the environment.
• Finding a new space to meet and collaborate will help you get more done.
• Lots of talented people at CCC who could be your next star employee/consultant.
• Find the next paying project for your company by doing some networking.
• Cheap conference room time with high end presentation gear.

In one of my past work lives I was a print designer. I still enjoy it but don't have time to do it very much. So recently I was asked by our local Chamber of Commerce for some print material for CCC. That way they could hand it to someone when telling them about us. Yes all you techies folks, people still want stuff on paper. Big thanks to everyone who helped me edit it and provided feedback. Several people have told me that Google Map directions to CCC from Raleigh have sent folks down South Rd through UNC's campus. During the week, especially after 5pm, campus roads can be very congested. So I wrote some modified directions and put them on the about page. Here they are:

(These are better than Google's. It takes you around the UNC campus instead of through it.)

1. Take I-40 West towards Durham/Chapel Hill
2. Take Exit 273A for Hwy 54 W towards Chapel Hill
3. Take the ramp to N Fordham Blvd / US-15/501
4. Exit towards Merritt Mill Rd
5. Turn Right at Merritt Mill Rd
6. Turn left at E Main St
7. Turn Right at Lloyd St
8. CCC is in the brick building on the left. 205 Lloyd Street, Suite 101, Carrboro, North Carolina
